About the ULisboa User Account

PERSONAL AREA

The ULisboa User Account provides access to several services, namely: the university wireless network (eduroam), safe access to resources within the University’s private network, social services (SAS) and sports portals, eLearning collaborative tools, Google for education, and Office 365, among others.

ACCESS TO WIRELESS NETWORKS

ULisboa is part of the Eduroam project (Education Roaming) whose main goal is to provide the European academic community with a mobility service between university campi.

VPN

The VPN service (Virtual Private Network) allows safe access to resources that are only available in the private network, regardless of where the ULisboa User is.

Access to the SAS and University Stadium of Lisbon portals, which provide information and several services, such as accommodation, meals, scholarships, nursery, sports academy, and others.

TOOLS AND SOFTWARE

GOOGLE FOR EDUCATION

This service provides the ULisboa Users with several Google collaborative tools, such as Gmail, Docs, Calendar, Drive and Classroom. The drive and the e-mail accounts have unlimited and lifelong storage space, advertisement free.

This service provides ULisboa Users with a subscription to software and Cloud storage, with no extra costs, enabling the installation of Microsoft Office tools, as well as access to OneDrive for document management in the Cloud, with unlimited and lifelong storage space, advertisement free.

This service gives ULisboa Users access to several applications, exclusively for education and research purposes.

This e-learning platform is managed by ULisboa. It promotes and enables access to and exchange of support resources for education amongst the ULisboa academic community.

ULisboa provides its academic community access to several information systems: academic, ERP – Human Resources and Finances, Koha (integrated library system), b-on (Online Knowledge Library), amongst others.

The ULisboa academic community has access to a set of applications for academic purposes, namely the printing/copying system and the physical access control system for libraries, labs, parking lots and student halls of residence.

I'M A NEW USER

Create an account by entering the User’s Portal (utilizador.ulisboa.pt) and registering, using the temporary credentials that were sent to your personal e-mail account or, as an alternative, by selecting the “create ULisboa Account” option.
The space on your Google drive is unlimited.
You can have up to 5 licences installed on different equipment.
To check your e-mail, you must go to mail.google.com and enter your ULisboa User credentials.
Yes, you should go to (utilizador.ulisboa.pt) and chose the option “create ULisboa Account”.

I'M ALREADY A USER

No. Any user with a @campus account can still access the same services, but will, from now on, be identified with a different e-mail account.
What changes is the @campus.ul.pt part. The user, from now on will be identified by @e-<yourschool>.ulisboa.pt or @edu.ulisboa.pt.
A main domain is the main e-mail account by which the user is known. It can be changed on the User’s Portal (utilizador.ulisboa.pt). It is with this domain that you login at Google Services.
The @campus account will no longer exist; however, the emails sent to that account will be forwarded to your new e-mail address.
